What Our Clients Are Saying
Paul Chang As an engineer/inspector, I am very selective with my contractors. When the owner, Tyler, showed up for an estimate, he was very professional and provided three options. His prices were very reasonable and he suggested the best systems for our house. I decided to go with Mountain House Mechanical based on their professional knowledge and price. The system I chose was the most expensive option with a five-zone ductless heat pump system with a 48K BTU outside unit with a 5-port branch box, four ceiling head units, and one wall head unit. For the installation, Tylor arrived with a technician, Ryan. They covered the work area with blankets and cleaned the area each day after work by sweeping and mopping. After the installation, they showed me how to operate and maintain the unit. The noise level is very low and I can hardly hear them going. My wife and I are very happy with the system's performance and installation process. I highly recommend Mountain House Mechanical for any heat-pump heating/AC installation. If I could give more stars, I would give them 10 stars. james hart Same day response and on our way to getting the furnace repaired! Allen Carter Very fast to respond to a service call. Friendly, fast and efficient. I highly recommend Mountains House HVAC. Tim Sakhuja Tyler at Mountain House is a true professional. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and hardworking. My house in an extremely remote corner of Sonoma County was in need of new ductwork due to a rodent infestation. I called in and Tyler was out there the next day to give me a quote. While he was out there, I had him quote me on replacing our gas furnace with heat pump system. The price was reasonable, and Tyler, so I went for it. He got the entire job done in about a week, and we're super happy with the new system. Nat Corey-Moran Tyler has been incredible to work with. Really great communication, positive attitude, and timely service. And the work on our complex air-to-water heat pump for radiant floor, air conditioning and domestic hot water looks great even more importantly works great too. I would highly recommend Tyler to anyone who needs HVAC support, design, installation, or maintanence. Julee Wheeler Tyler was on time and quickly found the problem. My AC works like new!! I would highly recommend this company!! Tom Mullen Mountain House mechanical is professional ,personable and knowledgeable. I'm very happy to add them to my team for all my hvca issues should they arise. Mike Pratt Knowledgeable, professional service helped me understand my Daikin System so much better. Systems running like new and planning on adding to it. Aaron Avila (CEO Stroke TV Media) Great to work with Tyler. Very courteous, compeditive! Thank you for the great service. Zachary Taliaferro I had an issue with my heat pump system not running properly. I called a few companies and no one ever responded. Tyler with mountain house answered the first time I called and set up an appointment for the following day. Tyler was very knowledgeable and presented me options for repair. Due to the age of the equipment I asked if Tyler replaces equipment like the heat pump I had and he does! I decided to move forward with a new efficient heat pump system for my home. Tyler’s install was very nice and my house was cleaner in the areas he worked than when he started. Highly recommend this company and Tyler to anyone with hvac needs!
FAQS
Frequently Asked Questions
You can reduce HVAC costs by scheduling regular maintenance, changing filters regularly, sealing air leaks, and installing a programmable thermostat. Upgrading to a high-efficiency system also significantly cuts energy use over time.
If your furnace or heat pump is blowing cold air, making unusual noises, short cycling (turning on and off frequently), or causing a sudden spike in your energy bill, it’s likely time for a repair. You might also notice weak airflow, inconsistent room temperatures, or strange smells. Our licensed technicians at Mountain House Mechanical are trained to quickly diagnose and repair all types of heating systems—whether it's a traditional gas furnace or a modern heat pump.
Yes! As a matter of fact we are the experts. We utilize an ACCA accredited Manual J software to assess your home’s size, building characteristics, insulation, and energy needs to recommend the most efficient and cost-effective heating system for your comfort and budget. No guessing or using “rules of thumb”. We determine the exact btu requirements of your home, guaranteeing proper performance and longevity of your new heating and/or air conditioning equipment. Ask our competitors if they have completed a Manual J load calculation to properly size your equipment, the replies will likely both surprise and concern you.
Unusual noises like banging, rattling, or squealing can signal a loose part, worn component, or airflow issue. If your HVAC unit is louder than normal, it’s best to schedule a professional inspection before it leads to bigger, more expensive problems.
A ductless (or ventless) system uses wall-mounted units to heat and cool individual rooms without traditional ductwork. It’s perfect for older homes, room additions, or any space that needs targeted temperature control. Added benefits of ductless systems include the ability to have separately controlled zones, which means you don’t have to heat or cool the entire house, just the areas that are occupied, resulting in significant savings on your utility bill. In addition , the absence of ductwork through unconditioned crawl spaces and attics means increased efficiency due to the elimination of any air leakage and heat transfer that occurs outside the living area of the home.
